So, my Figureprint of Darathnu arrived today! ^__^  It was shipped by FedEx, so once they actually sent it out it got all the way over here from Canada in just 3 days.  I am suitably impressed by this, naturally. XD

Just to remind you (or let you know, depending on how interested you are in these things/ how new you are to this journal) a Figureprint is a 3D printed model of a World of Warcraft character, based on the 3D models used in the game itself.  The blocky look is because WoW characters are, in fact, blocky.  The weird texture is because of the printing process- They're actually made of compacted powder, held together with the ink (which contains a binding medium.)  One they are done, the excess powder is blown away and they are varnished.... which is why it's slightly shiny.   My camera loooooves to bring out shine.... *sigh*

Oh yeah- they also come in awesome sealed glass domes, so if you see some stray reflections in these pictures, it's because there is glass between the print and my camera.

Pictures, loot, and a small rant. )

I have sent the company an e-mail with some pictures of the offending spot, asking if there is anything that can be done about it.  I will be interesting to see what they say.  I expect they won't be able to help me, but it can't hurt to ask.

Even so, I am happy to have my print.  I am now done with Warcraft forever, and spot or not, I have the perfect momento of the fun it gave me at a time in my life when everything else was shit.

In Other News:
Thinking of life improvements, I saw the neurologist yesterday, and it's good news!  ^__^   He tested my sight and talked things through with me, and it looks like all the sight problems the clot caused have cleared up, and the other symptoms have subsided to nothing.  He agrees with my GP that my migrains are now stress-related only (and hence don't happen nearly as often as they used to) and that basically I have to drink a lot more water while I am on shift, which should help stop the problems with my blood pressure.

But yeah, as far as he is concerned the clot is no longer a problem.  He has referred me for another scan just to check, but has instructed me to start reducing my medications in anticipation of being discharged from his care.  ^__^.  He has also referred me to a blood specialist, to see if there is any genetic or chemical reason for the clot happening, or if it was just a random fluke of nature.  Once I have the results back from that, and I am off the blood thinners, I should be able to start planning my chest surgery properly!  :D
