Well that was fun....

So I finally got around to re-stringing Guide.

As some of you (with very long memories) might remember, I have been whinging for a while about Guide being stupidly floppy, to the point where he can't even sit up properly on his own.  So today I thought I would get him unstrung and re-do him properly, seeing as I now own a string puller and have more experience with less complicated dolls.  Guide has an old Flexi-body, and while it poses brilliantly, putting it together is a bit like conquering a Rubix cube.

Anyway, it looks like Guide had other ideas. >_>;  I got the elastic undone, re-tied it to a better length, and was in the process of putting him back together when he rebelled.  I was pulling the elastic through his second leg when the elastic popped, and the string puller flicked Guide's foot straight at my face. >_<;  It caught me just above my left eye, and I narrowly missed getting whipped by the string puller, too.  So now I have a huge bump above my eyebrow, and a headache. -__-;

I went back to see if the knot had come undone but no- the actual elastic itself has snapped right in the middle.  Truthfully, it did feel a bit wierd when I was tying it, but I didn't realise it had worn out so completely.  No wonder Guide has been flopping all over the place...

I've boxed up his bits, but I will have to buy some new elastic before I can try this again.  It says a lot about how far I have drifted from the hobby that I have *no idea* where to look for it, or what thickness I aught to by.  Any ideas? ;__;  Please?

Also, his grin now looks like he is mocking me.  Smug bastard. >_>;
