Well today sucked.
I woke up at about 4am with serious stomach pain, and by 7am I was throwing up horribly. Normally I would just retreat to bed when I am sick, but this time I saw something in it that looked like blood, and because I am on warfarin (a blood thinner) I knew I had to call a doctor. The long and the short of it? I ended up being taken into A&E in an ambulance because as well as the blood, my blood pressure was through the roof when they came to assess me. >_<; (190/110, rather than my usual 135/80)
I have therefore spent the day in the A&E observation ward, with fluids being pumped into my arm and a group of (very nice) nurses trying to cajole me into trying to drink lots of water. The blood turned out to be nothing (thank gods!), but I still feel like shit and am supposed to be on bedrest for the next few days.
