Home Again.
Sep. 13th, 2012 04:29 pmSo, I am back home. ^__^ I actually got in on Monday, but I have been oddly busy since I got back, mainly finishing off the last of my coursework for uni. My extension runs out on Monday, so I have quite a lot to finish up so I can hand it in on time. Shouldn't be a problem, though. ^__-.
The holiday was excellent.
I basically did nothing all week. Like, literally nothing- I sat in the garden reading books all day, slept in late, and ate good (but not very slimming!) food cooked by my Dad. We also went to a local county fair at the weekend, which basically consisted of looking at good pedigree sheep and cattle, and local arts and crafts. Oh, and watching pony races! XD It was great! I also completed reading 3 Brother Cadfael novels, and half a collection of Stephen King short stories. I would have loved to read a lot more, but still.... it was all good stuff. ^__^.
Overall, the holiday was exactly what I needed, and I feel a lot better now- nice and refreshed, and ready to start a new term at Uni.
In Other News:
Not much else to report really. >_> The new Rift expansion, 'Storm Legion', is coming out in the next month or so, and I am stupidly excited about it. ^__^ I am still really enjoying Rift, so I was delighted to find that they are doing a special offer on a year's subscription that gives you 'Storm Legion' for free, and as soon as I get my next bursary payment in I am going to order it. I actually save a lot of money on general entertainment by playing Rift- I pay less each month for it than one trip to the cinema would cost, and generally speaking, I don't buy may games or DVDs. It's actually a pretty cost-effective way of keeping myself sane between lectures! ^__-.
With regards to things at uni.... not much has changed. I will be speaking to them again in the next few weeks (or sooner if something comes up), but so far, all I know for sure is that I am going to my community placement at the start of next term, which is good. I am hoping it will give me time to settle back in and for things at the hospital to cool down again before I go back there. I am also really looking forward to seeing my community mentor again- she is such a nice woman, and I have missed her. XD
Anyway, I just thought I would stick my head in here and say hello, and see how everyone is doing. ^__-.
