BEST NEWS EVER!!!
Feb. 26th, 2013 12:51 pmSo this week seems to be the week of awesome news! ^__^ I just got in from my appointment with the surgeon, and he has FINALLY agreed to put me on the waiting list!! In his words, I have 'worn him down' (ha!) and he 'no longer has any sound medical reason to say no.' He's a nice guy, and from anyone else I might have been a bit iffy about that, but he has a good sense of humour, and for all his dragging of feet, he has been doing it based on medical principals. Even if they are ones that I disagree with. >_>;
ANYWAY..............
The point is, in 8-12 weeks from now I may very well be free from these god-awful things growing on my chest. XD Of course, the date may well change, or be delayed, or anything else.... but still- I am on the waiting list!! It's finally one MASSIVE step closer!!
The surgeon said he would try to get me booked in for June, so I can still do my exams in May, but that's no guarantee. >_> So I will have to arrange with Uni in case it messes up my timetable, but that should be Ok- they are generally quite good with stuff like this. Even so, though, if it IS in June- that's not too far away! I'd still like to lose another half stone before then (more if I can), and I need to get together a stash of arnica tablets to take leading up to it. The surgeon said my main risks will be infection and slow healing, so anything I can do to avoid those would be good. ^__-.
