 So.... I have just turned in my essay.

I can say with some confidence that writing at university level is much, much harder than writing at access course level. -__-;  I am not entirely happy with my essay, to be honest, but I can't do any better.  I will just have to hope that it's enough to get the 40% pass mark and then hope that I can get some good advice from my tutor after she marks it. >_>;

Luckily, marks from our first year don't count towards the final grade of our course, so no matter how bad this is, it shouldn't be a problem so long as I pass it.

(Incidentally, I would have more faith in my essay if one of the girls on the course hadn't posted on Facebook that she had 40 references for hers, and I have half of that. >_<;  I spent over 40 hours researching this essay, and I honestly couldn't find any more.  I have no idea what she has found, but she is either bullshitting or I am in serious trouble and suck horribly at doing research. ;__; )

In Other News:
I finally bought myself a microwave! ^__^  Tomorrow after uni I am going to go and buy a sack of potatoes so I can enjoy microwaved baked potatoes again..... I have missed them so much, and frankly, I rarely the time or the memory to cook them in the oven without forgetting about them.

I also bought the new William King book 'Blood of Aenarion' (it revolves around Tyrion and Teclis, my two favourite Warhammer characters), Hammer and Anvil (the second Sisters of Battle novel... not that I've gotten around to reading the first one yet....), some new navy polo shirts, some replacement shoes, and a pair of slipper socks that feel very much like I have my toes stuffed in a pillow. ^__^.

Also, I would like to register my dislike of having size 6 feet.  Sure, it means I can buy kids' shoes and hence save a few bucks, but damn... they never have the Spiderman ones in my size. -__-;

 Today was basically 6 hours of learning about domestic violence and abuse.   So 6 hours of statistics, victim accounts, harrowing details and horror stories about the failures of the systems that are supposed to help the people in our care.  Needless to say, my faith in the human race is currently at an all-time low.

I hate that people are capable of these terrible things.
