Dolls for Sale

misguidanceSo.... in light of the growing realisation that I really just don't enjoy my dolls as much as I used to.... I have decided to put up Korvald and Glitterball for sale.
1. Bambicrony minty-blue Kira, heavily modded/some damage.
$100 (or best offer) + shipping
I bought this doll from DoA several years ago, and despite her being a limited edition the fact that she is covered in glued on crystals and has extensive modding means I do not feel comfortable asking a top-notch price for her. She poses well, is very cute, and will come with the pictured wig and eyes, as well as a dress picked by me (not the one in the picture). I believe I also still have her box, which she will be shipped in. If not, a suitable box and padding will be found for her.
Her face-up is amazingly basic, done by me with watered down Games Workshop acrylic paints over a brush-on matt basecoat. Unsealed and should come off easily.
Damage/mods:
-opened eyes, with extensive chipping on the inside of the head that is not visible from the outside.
-magnets in her back are very visible through her resin, but still functional if you want to put magnetic wings on her (she doesn't come with any.)
-some discoloration on her fingers, where the resin appears lighter/almost see-through. Very hard to photograph, and doesn't appear to be anything other than cosmetic.
-a suspected crack in one foot- again, hard to photograph. Looks like a pale line through the resin, although the foot is sound and doesn't shows any signs of falling apart.
-Untold numbers of crystals held on with some kind of devil-glue that I can't remove.
Glitterball came to me in this condition, and I put a lot of work into cleaning her up and making her more acceptable. However, I am not a professional doll modder, so I just stopped when I reached the end of my capabilities. Someone else might be able to do a lot more to restore her. Since I have had her she has been outside a couple of times for pictures, and spent the rest of her time on a shelf out of sunlight. She may be a tiny bit dusty, but I will clean her off before sending her.
2. SOOM Elf Uyoo (Limited Edition) with default face-up:
$200 (or best offer) + shipping.
This little lady is awesome- she poses like a dream, stands un-aided, wears Barbie sized clothes, and generally looks fantastic. She is a proper minitature sized BJD, pretty much exactly the same as a 60cm, just scaled down. If I every did more than just moved her around on the shelf, I would keep her.... but such is life. She has no damage that I can find, and her limited edition face-up is perfect. It's really cute and sparkly- my pictures don't do it justice. Her skintone is creamy white in colour, but she does not look yellowed and her colour is even. She does not have body blushing.

She will come with anything I can find that fits her (which will be a fair amount of stuff) as well as at least one wig, and a random set of eyes (either the brown ones pictured or green-in-green glass ones.) Her box is original, but has 'SOOM Uyoo' written across it (done by her first owner) in black pen. I am her second owner that I know of.
As usual, I take all forms of paypal and I do not charge fees. Shipping is worked out based on location, and I do not ship dolls without insurance.

Selling these guys is not a lightly reached decision. I could probably spend a while writing about why I am slowly parting myself from my BJDs, but I don't really want to. I know I recently bought Marshmallow, so my love of BJDs is hardly gone, and I adore seeing other people's dolls still.... but I dunno... something just isn't connecting for me any more, and while I would baulk at the idea of selling most of my gang, I am starting to view others as a bit of a waste of space. This leaves me with some odd dilemmas: should I bother to re-string Guide at all, or just sell off his body (if anyone would even want a flexi-body these days...)? What should I do with Shaun's head- is it worth keeping, seeing as I am unlikely to ever get him a new body? What about Jon? He has literally spent 2 years in his box, so do I sell him, or keep him? I wonder sometimes if I am keeping Jon because Nat helped me to pay for him, and hence I feel obligated not to part with him. Or would I actually miss him if he was gone?
I dunno. None of these things have easy answers, but yeah. Glitterball and Korvald are up for sale. If they don't sell on here, I will put them up on DoA and DoD at some point, but I would rather not if I can help it. ^__-.
